At Carlson’s Handyman Service, we recently conducted a Cement Siding Repair project in Marietta. The homeowner reached out to us after detecting flakes of cement board on her deck. After a detailed inspection, we identified the culprit – moisture damage had caused the cement to degrade. We methodically cut the pieces for the repair, painting the cut ends to prevent future water damage.
The repair was carried out on the Chimney Cricket of a 45-degree sloped roof. Emphasizing safety, we were kitted out appropriately and utilized non-skid roof cushions, an extension ladder with stabilizer and a nailing board at the ladder’s foot for security. We secured the board with 18 gauge nails which, upon removal, left no visible marks.
