At Carlson’s Handyman Service, our expertise extends to complex tasks like window trim repairs. A recent project in Roswell perfectly illustrates this. We were tasked with repairing damage to wood windows and trims, wherein some of the damage resulted from improper construction techniques, a lack of flashing, house wrap, and self-sealing butyl flashing tape around windows. With custom-built windows that were impractical to replace, our skilled team did an excellent job replacing the existing wood nosing and window sills. Areas that could not be replaced with wood were diligently repaired using products like Bondo or equivalent. We also ensured all new wood was comprehensively primed before installation. Any areas needing Bondo were prepared by voiding all soft rotted wood, applying a wood fiber sealant, then Bondo, which was then sanded, caulked, primed, and painted.
